Abstract

Ordinal combination can change which beam configuration a surrogate search favors. Evaluation should retain each model's recommendation before combination and independently recompute the selected plans. Local rank reversals matter more than a small average fit gain when they determine the final action. Numerical planning evidence remains distinct from unmeasured clinical consequence. This focused synthesis develops an empirical comparison that preserves the terminal action, observation process, and total verification cost. Its proposed tests are prospective; no new simulation run, model-training result, or intervention effect is reported.
