An Improved Utility along a Converging Allocation
Abstract
Knowledge-gradient improvement changes the local value of a measurement, whereas convergence concerns the resulting allocation sequence. Evaluation should retain initial evidence, update costs, and terminal objectives. Independently checked decisions at practical budgets can distinguish a useful early path from a merely favorable limit. Posterior utility is a model-based quantity rather than measured superiority. This focused synthesis develops an empirical comparison that preserves the terminal action, observation process, and total verification cost. Its proposed tests are prospective; no new simulation run, model-training result, or intervention effect is reported.
