Abstract

Good-enough selection fixes what is sufficient, whereas a loss bound helps organize what is given up by a final choice. Their comparison should vary credible tolerances and retain the bound's mathematical assumptions. A relaxed criterion can reduce computing without proving better allocation, so the terminal requirement must stay common across the evaluated procedures. This focused synthesis develops an empirical comparison that preserves the terminal action, observation process, and total verification cost. Its proposed tests are prospective; no new simulation run, model-training result, or intervention effect is reported.
