Abstract

Source-free graph adaptation restricts available information, while model merging combines abilities represented in parameters. Evaluation should retain graph topology and modality-specific grounding before judging aggregate task quality. Efficient adaptation is an additional cost dimension. A fluent merged response cannot verify structural transfer or replace the source-free restriction with information unavailable to the method. This focused synthesis develops an empirical comparison that preserves the terminal action, observation process, and total verification cost. Its proposed tests are prospective; no new simulation run, model-training result, or intervention effect is reported.
